First light's... dreary, crumpled, yawning
'neath rain clouds... elongated greys
Daylight fractured, spliced and lonely
Pane's diamond irrorate display
Gold fine cracks amongst pale pewter
Stone-faced, bone-bleak pallor sky
Apricity... finds no suitor
Where lulled iced zephyrs go to die
Mellifluous dawn's melody
Wrings out jejune, colourless tones
Imbued coffee-smudged deity
Resounds mute... as daybreak grows
Tired feet... they ache for grounding
In cold enriched soil's wetted earth
Serotonin's... Wistful seeking
Mother's elixir.…. precious dirt
Father's call. kind psithurism
Greets my soul, as by mist... embraced
Inert melee silt.…. nihilism
Sifted... day's optimism graced
Small cog in clockwork existence
In symbiosis, we're at peace
Nature... our hearts' concomitance
From self-perception.….. be released
