Symphony

crisp leaves underfoot
autumn's majestic fire-hues
symphony... returned

Both Blessing And Curse

Leaden head and slumber-drunk I wish to doze
But my unconscious untethers... jolts repose
Mute soliloquies spiral in whispered throws
Leaking laced necklaced words which seek to be known

Though try as I might I'm enslaved by the verse
Its velvet elixir both blessing and curse
After dawn's reveille words can't be coerced
Stolen by dreams... taunting memories of mirth

Not Me

It's autumn again when the world slows down
When stars glisten more brightly enveloping the town
When the days become shorter and the nights become long
...and I'm reminded by your absence of what I did wrong

See the flames still bewitch me when the log fires burn
Hued-leaves still fall hypnotically as they glide twist and turn
The cold air still embraces me with its invigorating kiss
...and I'm reminded by your absence of all the things I miss

So as autumn magenta-stroked sunsets slip behind the trees
The unheeding gusts of autumn bring stark branches to their knees
Autumn's blanketed patchwork builds in waves like the sea
And I'm reminded by your absence that without you... I'm not me

Home

One mind not we but yet heartbeats entwined
Pulsating buds of galaxies benight
Mosaic notes so empyrean chime
Cadence of love no greed nor fear can smite

Spirals the shell so doth our D.N.A.
Iris and nebular both echo light
Spectrum sundered humanity's decay
May care and empathy now be our plight

But in uniqueness we can harmonise
All pirouetting gracefully through time
Through different timbres beauty's emphasised
Quelled
is the importance of "what is mine?"

So if now man no more covets to own
Maybe to all this planet could be home
